Sound City Players: Persiste el misterio
All a Foo Fighters hiatus means is that Dave Grohl can divert his creativity and powerful promotional muscle to a new project.
For the past five months the Foo fighters frontman has been successfully building hype for the debut of his directorial debut, the documentary Sound City, which tells the story of its namesake recording studio in Van Nuys, CA. After buying the studio’s famously custom-built analog recording console last year, Grohl had the idea to produce a film about its storied history. Bands such as (Grohl’s own) Nirvana, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Cheap Trick, Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails and many more recorded there, using that very control board for the past 40 years.
The rock doc will premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT. To celebrate its release, Grohl took to the film’s official Facebook…
